CALL FOR ENTRIES Droughts and water shortages are now upon us because of El Niño and the consequences of climate change. It’s time to inspire people to act in conserving water now more than ever. Whether you’re a film maker, a student or anyone with a vision and message to help save water, you can join the Clean Water film contest. This is a competition organized the by Climate Change Commission in cooperation with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. The grand prize winner will receive a P40,000.00 prize, second place P25,000.00 and third P15,000.00. The top works will also be aired on NBN4. Rules and Guidelines: 1. Unlike other short film competitions there are less creative constraints. It could be an audiovisual presentation, animation, documentary, narrative and even music video format can be submitted. As long as the message of water conservation is adhered to, it will be accepted. Fresher messages especially based on the “15 Earth-Saving Carbon Cutting Clean Water Tips” listed below are encouraged. 2. The minimum running time for the piece is one minute, with a maximum of 20 minutes in DVD format (1 copy) and AVI file (1copy). 3. Synopsis, film info and film maker’s profile must be in Microsoft Word together with stills / posters (in JPEG file) of film entry in CD. Entry forms can be downloaded from: www.climatechangephil.multiply.com 4. Contestants may submit more than one entry. 5. Deadline for submission is April 20, 2010. Each entry must be clearly labeled, “Climate Change Commission Film Contest” together with a print out of the entry form. Submit entries to Jude Bautista at 1321 Perez st. Paco Manila 6. Organizers reserve the right to project or exhibit the entries as they deem fit.
